The tranquil turquoise waters as you enter the harbour of the working fishing port of Looe on the south coast of Cornwall.
Looe was once a busy fishing and trading port like so much of the Cornish coast, but much like many other places in Cornwall, it's tourism that is the main industry.
Looe is well-known for its banjo-shaped pier at the entrance to the port, cleverly built as a circle (to avoid silting up) where the river meets the sea.
Most recently Looe has been made famous as being the home of the BBC series Beyond Paradise.
The picturesque village and port of Polperro is just a short drive from Looe, or alternatively the coastal path is a lovely walk with some amazing views. If you like your fish and chips, then head out of Looe and find the 'Coddy Shack' takeaway and restaurant.
